In the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

In the historic centre of Locorotondo (among “The most beautiful villages in Italy“) in via Aprile n. 23, between the whitewashed walls and the flowered balconies, a brown wooden sign with the words Casa Pinto Pizzeria stands out.

Why the name “Casa Pinto”?

The pizzeria was born within the walls of what until a few years ago, just before its opening, was a typical house in the style of Locorotondo, on two levels between the ground floor overlooking the alley and the first floor with an outdoor terraced space.
In 2012, the house was bought by the Pinto family, that has been engaged in local catering since 1990, when Michele Pinto opened his first pizzeria “L’Incontro“.

Since then, almost 28 years have passed,
years of experience in which “Mastro Pizzaiolo” (pizza chef) Michele Pinto has matured his culinary philosophy:

  • oven powered exclusively with beech wood;
  • several days of leavening;
  • search for quality ingredients;
  • variety of flour and quality dough.

In addition to its wholesome and delicious dishes, Pizzeria Casa Pinto boasts a magical location.
In midsummer evenings, with a mild climate, the enchanting lanes of the historic centre of Lcorotondo in the dim light and a splendid terrace among the “cummerse” (roof of the typical houses of the village) offer the necessary space for outdoor tables.
Inside, the two rooms of local white stone, illuminated by soft lights, offer a snug place to enjoy a delicious pizza, giving the feeling of being a guest in a cosy little house, a typical house in Locorotondo.

It is precisely this pleasant impression of feeling at home, combined with the hospitality of the place, the impeccable service, and the use of first quality ingredients, that have been essential features since the beginning:

that’s why the name “Casa Pinto”.

The place is now the destination of a large local, national, and international clientele that has made Pizzeria Casa Pinto a recognized and sought-after brand, in full harmony with the history and current events of the Valle d’Itria.
Pizzeria Casa Pinto aims to represent not only an opportunity to eat a good pizza, but a unique emotional experience of its kind.
